Our Heritage

Three Generations of
Maple Tradition

For generations, the Deuso family has tended the sugar maples that dot our property in Franklin, Vermont. What began as a quiet seasonal ritual—boiling sap in an open kettle behind the farmhouse—has grown into something that honors both our past and the land we cherish.

Every bottle of our syrup carries the patience of slow boiling, the warmth of family hands, and the unmistakable depth of Vermont's northern forest. We don't rush the process, and we never compromise on purity.

The Craft

From Tree to
Bottle

The art of maple syrup-making hasn't changed in centuries—and at Deuso Family Maples, we keep it that way.

1

Tap the Maples

When winter gives way to spring, we carefully tap mature sugar maples and install lines that carry the clear, sweet sap to the sugarhouse.

2

Boil Down the Sap

It takes roughly 40 gallons of sap to produce just one gallon of syrup. We boil slowly over an open flame, drawing out flavor and color.

3

Grade & Bottle

Each batch is tested for density and flavor, then graded according to Vermont standards—Golden to Dark—before being carefully bottled.
